Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child actor shortly after immigrating to the United States. In AT&T television commercials she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 until 2016 and into 2020. She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub, who was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. When she was just two, she immigrated with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She moved to West Hollywood. She started performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due to the financial difficulties of her family. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly and then was kicked out of the school after her second year. She then obtained a GED, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of the art of improv comedy.
